Second Hand Smoke

I have a friend who cherishes every day she is alive after surviving Stage III colon cancer. She just passed the five-year mark and appears to be doing quite well.

For the past year, however, she has been fighting another battle of survival.

She was transferred to a different office at her job in a different part of the building in which she works; an office that frequently gets filled with cigarette smoke.

Although smoking is not allowed indoors, the designated smoking area is adjacent to the air intake for her office. Building management say they are working to fix the problem, but nothing has been done in a year.

Recently, she has started suffering respiratory distress, and still nothing has been done to stop the invasion of the killing smoke from her office.

Wonder if they're waiting for her to die, so the problem will go away.
