The U.S. Senate voted correctly in defeating a proposed constitutional amendment to outlaw desecration of the flag.

A majority of the Senate voted for this blatant violation of the First Amendment which was expected. It is an election year after all, and the Repubs need another issue other than the failed policies of the Bush Administration.

Look for many Repubs to beat up on those voting against the amendment. The dogs.
