There are still good ones out there
Although most lawyers are motivated by money (and why shouldn't they be, they have to find fresh dirt for their coffins -- just kidding, maybe), when you find a good one, keep 'em.
This story about a brain injury lawyer helping out in a lady's case really got to me.
My dad was fatally injured at work when a shelf in the warehouse collapsed on him. The company fought all the way, and my mom had to hire an attorney - a friend of a friend. Turns out this guy was a contracts lawyer and new nothing about workers comp or injury or anything, and my family got a royal screwing.
We learned a hard lesson.
