Lieberman's Lament

Sounds like Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman is suffering from the why-didn't-we-think-of-this-first syndrome:

I think you can try too hard to be cool and the coolness can come back to hit you in the face.

Lieberman made that comment about his primary opponent's visit to The Colbert Report.

For the record, we think Ned Lamont did an admirable job is deflecting the zaniness of Stephen Colbert.
